We live locally and from our engagement in April 2021, we saw the renovations and thought it was an ideal place for us; not far for friends and family to travel and bedrooms for guests from afar. In our heads we had pictured a country pub atmosphere and loved the décor with a modern/rustic feel. We loved it from the moment we walked in and were so excited to find somewhere that was perfect for us both!
Scott was an absolute pleasure to work with, always there when needed and flexible to accommodate our needs. The whole process was explained very clearly and there were lots of detailed emails! The package price was very reasonable for what we received.
We were always welcomed when we visited and were able to take family to show them the Hadrian Suite before the big day. Everyone worked so hard on the run up to the day and even adding our personal touches to the room was not too much trouble for the team.
The bridal suite was just beautiful; the décor and furniture are exquisite. There was so much space to accommodate the bridal party and both the hairdresser and makeup artist complimented the room as they have seen many bridal suites.
It was so relaxed getting ready upstairs and to be able to just go down to the ceremony was much easier on us all, especially our young children.
It was nerve wracking just thinking about the little details, but the Hadrian Suite was better than expected set up by team Fleece and Special Events Décor, my hairdresser Emily Marchi Hair kept everything under control with everyone’s hair and timings, and Makeup by Alexandra also worked wonders for us all and within plenty of time.
From the ceremony to the wedding breakfast, again we couldn’t fault anything; everything flowed smoothly. The quality of food was great along with the service. We received lots of positive feedback and it was exciting to invite more guests to join us in the evening. The function room and private bar worked really well, and despite a delayed band, everyone had a great night.
Everyone was in good spirits the next morning enjoying a hearty breakfast sharing memories and we had lots of happy staff greeting and congratulating us.
It was truly a day to remember, a dream come true with lots of memories to treasure. We have already recommended The Fleece to anyone planning a wedding and will continue to do so.
