Our Wedding Day
at the Fleece

By Katie Tingey.

Mr & Mrs Tingey's Amazing Day

We arrived the day before the wedding to decorate and set up the room (the tables had already been set ready which triggered the excitement even more!).

From the outset, all of the Fleece staff were really friendly, professional and happy to help with anything we needed.

1 Day To Go!

We had a few feature items to display. We used Sweetest Addiction Cumbria for use of their Sweet Cart, Flower Hoop, Welcome Sign and they also did our Gender Reveal Balloon, they were able to drop items off the day before the wedding to set up also, which really helped ease nerves of a last minute rush.

I stayed over the night before the wedding with 3 of my bridesmaids and my 2 year old daughter. Earlier on in the evening I booked a booth to have a meal with my friends. The food was amazing as always.

The bridal suite was gorgeous, very spacious and clean. Plenty of room for us all to get ready the morning of the wedding. We also booked the room next door for the bridesmaids to stay the night before… so we had this room to get ready in too if needed.

We actually got to see a few of the rooms as our guests booked 13 rooms altogether. We would give the rooms a 10/10. They all look beautiful, are comfortable and spacious. The bathrooms are all lovely too.

The Morning of the Special Day

"We ordered breakfast to our room on the wedding morning which was gorgeous and we were made to feel all the more special having this in our room privately while we started to get ready."

On the morning of our wedding our two hairdressers Nicola and Chloe from Salon 25, Haltwhistle and a makeup artist Rachel Dalton, The Beauty Room, Salon 25, Haltwhistle arrived nice and early. The room had aircon, thank goodness as it was a hot day! Sure it got as hot as 30 degrees and I’m sure it was as hot as 20 degrees early in the morning.

Our photographer was Penny Rose Photography, Haltwhistle and our Videographer was Jonathan Pape Videographer they also arrived nice and early to capture us getting ready. We would highly recommend both.

Strangely it was a really calm morning (especially considering we had 3 under 3 year olds getting ready with us!) 🙂 Stepping into my stunning dress (supplied by Armstrong’s Fashion & Bridal) was a little surreal and the butterflies certainly started to kick in, but everything just flowed nicely and fell into place. The Bridal Suite was big enough for us all to get ready in comfortably.

Heading Downstairs

The Hadrian Suite was lovely. We had asked for the room to be split so that set tables were hidden, of course this was no trouble at all for the Fleece team. On arrival, our guests could only see the bar area and garden terrace outside, meaning we could look forward to another reveal as the day rolled on.

We all enjoyed reception drinks and canapes on arrival which went down a treat, we have had so many compliments about the canapes!

We had a singer to entertain our guests through the day too, Emily Sarah Acoustic Music who was amazing. As it was a nice day she was able to set up outside where most of our guests gathered and we could all enjoy the views of the countryside while she sang.

The wedding breakfast was lovely. There was no waiting around for food but also enough time to enjoy each course and be able to have a chat with guests on our table.

Scott recommended the Fleece’s resident DJ Top Tunes Disco. James was brilliant, he took requests from guests and he took videos of the night and sent them over to us after the wedding. We have these to look back on and we can’t thank him enough.

We also booked an incredible saxophonist Trav SAXINGH who was absolutely amazing! He had the dance floor full and everyone up having a great time.

We also used Northern Love Letters for their photo booth, everyone loved this and we got copies of all photos taken and a USB with all of the photos on too.

And Finally...

…onto Scott. Scott was brilliant from start to finish. We found him really friendly, approachable and accessible. We never had any issues contacting him, he was always there on the other end of the phone or an email.

Scott would let us know if he was taking annual leave or when he wasn’t available.

Anything we asked for or wanted, Scott made sure it happened. Nothing was any trouble at all.

"We would like to say a huge, huge THANK YOU to Scott, if it wasn't for you we wouldn't have had the wedding day we dreamt of."

On behalf of everyone at the Fleece at Ruleholme, we’d like to say congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Tingey. Thank you for sharing your special day with us and we wish you all the best  for a long and happy future together.
